Domain and Web Server Project: A multi-part lab series documenting the setup and management of a Windows domain and web server stack. Includes virtual machine deployment, Active Directory configuration (AD DS, DNS, DHCP), and AMP stack implementation. An Ubuntu-based web server was also configured and joined to the Windows domain. All machines and network infrastructure were virtualized using VMware Workstation Pro.
Tools used: VMware Workstation Pro, Windows Server, Windows 10, Ubuntu, Apache, NGINX, MySQL, CouchDB, phpMyAdmin, Joomla
Thumbdrive Project: This project demonstrates the creation of a multi-functional USB drive using YUMI and PortableApps. YUMI enables bootable tools to be run directly from the BIOS, while PortableApps allows for portable access to a suite of applications on any Windows system. The drive functions as both a diagnostic/boot utility and a mobile productivity platform.
Tools used: YUMI, PortableApps, USB Flash Drive, BIOS Boot Menu, Windows OS
Virtual Infrastructure with Type 1 Hypervisor: This project series showcases building a virtualized infrastructure using a Type 1 hypervisor. It includes bare-metal installation, VM and container creation, multi-node clustering, and network services like DNS filtering with Pi-hole. The work highlights skills in virtualization, resource management, and systems administration.
Tools used: Proxmox VE (Type 1 Hypervisor), Ubuntu Server, Debian Containers, QEMU, balenaEtcher, UFW, Intel NUC, DNS Services (Pi-hole), Web-based VM Management Interface, Cluster Networking (Corosync)
Linux Software Installation Demo: This project involved installing a third-party application on Ubuntu using a .deb package. It required enabling 32-bit architecture, resolving dependencies, and performing all steps via the command line—demonstrating skills in Linux configuration and package management.
Tools used: Ubuntu, Terminal, dpkg, APT, i386 architecture libraries, .deb package installer
